The Indonesian Fisheries Workers Association (AP2I) was established on May 1, 2021. To date, AP2I has more than 15,000 members, most of whom work as crew members on fishing vessels abroad. AP2I’s membership comes from various regions in Indonesia, reflecting the diversity of backgrounds and work experience in the fisheries sector. The organization is committed to championing the rights and welfare of Indonesian fisheries workers through advocacy, training, and professional legal support.
